James & Priya K. — Kitchen Redesign

James & Priya K.

Homeowners, Notting Hill

James and Priya needed a kitchen that could host dinner parties and survive breakfast with two children under five. The studio delivered both — a space that photographs like a magazine spread yet wipes clean in minutes.

We were nervous about the budget and the timeline — we’d heard renovation horror stories from every friend who’d done one. Luxe Interiors gave us a transparent schedule from day one and never once wavered. The kitchen was ready two days ahead of the date they promised, and every detail was exactly right.

James K., Notting Hill

The brief posed a genuine design tension: Priya wanted warmth and natural materials; James wanted clean lines and concealed storage. Our response was a fluted oak island with a honed Calacatta marble top — the vertical texture of the timber softened the geometry, while the stone’s cool veining introduced a quiet counterpoint.

Safety Without Compromise

With two young children in the household, safety was woven into every specification. Soft-close drawers throughout, rounded countertop edges on the island, an induction hob with residual-heat indicators, and a concealed knife block built into the cabinetry meant the family could live freely in the space without a single childproof latch in sight.

Priya later wrote to tell us the kitchen had become the room where the whole family gathers — not just for meals, but for homework, painting, and Saturday morning cartoons at the island. That kind of gravity is what thoughtful design creates.
